Betsiboaka is the largest area of ​​concentration of mangroves (or mangroves) in Madagascar.
In order to avoid the risk of destruction of this area; The Association Femmes Entrepreneurs Environnementales Mahajanga (FEEM), supported by the Tany Meva Foundation and CEPF, has contributed to the restoration of the new protected area of ​​Bombetoka Bay in Avicennia marina. This species has the particularity of harboring silkworms which constitute an important source of income for the population.
