Betsiboaka is the largest area of concentration of mangroves (or mangroves) in Madagascar.
In order to avoid the risk of destruction of this area; The Association Femmes Entrepreneurs Environnementales Mahajanga (FEEM), supported by the Tany Meva Foundation and CEPF, has contributed to the restoration of the new protected area of Bombetoka Bay in Avicennia marina. This species has the particularity of harboring silkworms which constitute an important source of income for the population.
